I think it’s pretty universal that people experience moments of fear – whether just little things like thinking some project, homework, or meeting has been forgotten, or something larger like a robbery, car crash, or diagnosis of illness. But what this Daily Lift from Shelley Richardson reminds us is to be not afraid when we realize that God is by our side. It’s a great idea to embrace at the start of every day with gratitude! Mary Baker Eddy, spiritual pioneer and the founder of Christian Science wrote in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Christian scientific practice begins with Christ’s keynote of harmony, ‘Be not afraid!'” I hope you find this Daily Lift as helpful as I did: Can a sense of calm be permanent?
