How often do you find yourself “waiting in line” for God’s goodness to be present? I know that I’ve been in situations where I am waiting for a healing of some inharmony in my life. But I just read the latest Christian Science Monitor’s article titled “The beauty of today” and the author reminded me that – just like her – I don’t have to wait for future harmony. Experiencing good now is a present possibility. A verse that clearly expresses this idea is from II Corinthians: “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” And a supporting quote that I find very helpful from Mary Baker Eddy, spiritual leader and the founder of Christian Science: “The purpose and motive to live aright can be gained now.” What are we waiting for? God is Love.
