It hit the nail right on the head with this statement: &quot;Faith and healing went hand-in-hand until the Freud era....&quot; Not only Freud, but Bertrand Russell and others ushered in the anti-religion/spirituality movement, and psychiatry got a foothold and eventually became mainstream.

To have Dr. Koenig state this publicly is very revealing, and I commend him for his forthrightness. I also thought his statements about the possibility of religion/spirituality becoming an alternative to expensive health services is something to look forward to.

I loved your last sentence. Getting the facts out there is all important, but each one must make his own decision.
