“We’ve come a long way” – Photo illustrated by Lindsay Shaver
As of this week, my site has been redesigned and updated. I hope you will use the new interactive features that are available! The original format was up for 18 months. Over that time I have put up a blog each Monday through Thursday of the week without missing a day. The site had 3563 pageviews per month for a total of 64,134 pageviews since inception. I hope to engage my readers and keep them on the site for at least 2 minutes – and right now the time on site is 2:11 minutes! Thank you for your support and comments.
Here are a few of the new features:
- Daily rotating banners with different Southern California scenes.
- Rotating photo slider below the banner, which links directly with the associated blog article.
- Easy access to links for further exploration
- Twitter feed of links that I’ve found interesting. Click on these tweets to read more.

I think the new look and features are great. I will look forward to trying out more of the different features as time goes by. I have looked at some of the different blogs from some of the different writers and found them most helpful.
